MIAMI, Fla. – In a 911 call Courtney Clenney is frantic and screaming. Clenney is heard apologizing to her boyfriend Christian Obumseli. In the call, you can hear him telling Clenney possibly what are his final words.
“My boyfriend is dying of a stab wound,” Clenney can be heard telling 911.
The OnlyFans model is accused of stabbing Obumseli to death.
“I’m gonna die. I can’t feel my arm,” he is heard saying a few times.
Clenney apologizes to him.
“Baby, I’m so sorry.”
Prosecutors say Clenney stabbed Obumseli in the chest with a kitchen knife on Sunday, April 3, while he was unarmed. Prosecutors dispute her claims and say that she did not stab him accidentally nor was it done in self-defense.
“The knife entered Christian’s chest in a downward angle to the depth of 3 inches,” Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez-Fundle said at a press conference.
Clenney’s attorneys say otherwise and that Obumseli was the abuser and that Clenney stabbed him in self-defense.
“It seems more that she is trying to defend herself with these officers instead of getting the help that she’s clearly seeking,” said Clenney’s Attorney Sabrina Puglisi.
Prosecutors, however, allege that her story of self-defense doesn’t add up. She is facing a second-degree murder charge. She is expected in court in December.
Also this week, new video surfaced of the social media model pleading for help days before Obumseli was killed.
Police said Clenney and Obumseli had had a violent and toxic relationship. Officers were called to their Miami apartment on multiple occasions.
Just two days before investigators say Clenney stabbed Obumseli to death inside their luxury apartment, they were back on site with Clenney telling them he was stalking her.
In police body camera video from Friday, April 1, One Paraiso building employees called Miami police over a domestic disturbance between Clenney and Obumseli.
“It’s a snapshot in time. it doesn’t really tell you the whole picture,” said Puglisi.
